Big news for the CardioBird community! On May 5th, 2025, we signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), one of the globally recognized academic institutions and home to Malaysia’s first veterinary school. This partnership is set to usher in a new era for veterinary care through the integration of CardioBird’s cutting-edge AI biosignal technology into UPM’s teaching, research, and clinical practices.

A Partnership for Transformative Change
UPM shares our passion for innovation and excellence. As its slogan- “With knowledge we serve”- says, UPM is known for its dedication to advancing education and technology. UPM will now incorporate CardioBird’s AI-powered ECG diagnostic and 24/7 patient monitoring solutions into its veterinary operations. This collaboration will empower veterinarians and students with precise, fast, and reliable tools to improve animal care.

During the setup at UPM’s veterinary hospital, staff and students were amazed by how quick and easy it was to record ECGs from dog and cat patients. Within just five minutes, specialist-level diagnostic reports were ready—speeding up workflows and improving accuracy. Even more exciting? We tested our AI patient monitoring system in the ICU and saw firsthand how it transforms hospitalization care. Continuous vitals tracking and automated insights are already solving one of the most pressing challenges in veterinary medicine: staff shortages.

Making History—And Horses!
After the high standard MOU signing ceremony, complete with national and university anthems, we took the bold step of testing CardioBird on a horse in UPM’s ruminant ward. The results were exceptional: a clean and clear ECG signal was recorded effortlessly. This opens up possibilities for equine research and care, marking another leap forward for CardioBird’s capabilities.

In discussion with Professor Dr. Noraniza Binti Mohd Azahan on the potential application of Cardiobird for equine healthcare.

Looking to the Future
This partnership is more than just technology adoption—it’s about knowledge sharing and community building. Together with UPM, we’ll be hosting veterinary seminars to bring cutting-edge insights to local veterinarians, elevating the standard of care across Malaysia and Southeast Asia.

By bridging innovation and academic excellence, we’re not just advancing diagnostics and monitoring—we’re working to elevate lives together through biosignal. As a valued member of the CardioBird community, you’re part of this incredible journey. Together, we’re building a better tomorrow for animals and mankind.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to grow and innovate!
