Surgical Mission with Veterinarians Without Borders: Breaking boundaries together with CardioBird
June 22: Surgical Mission with Veterinarians Without Borders, CardioBird AI Monitoring Deployed
On June 22, CardioBird participated in a large-scale volunteer event hosted by Veterinarians Without Borders (VWB) in Korea. As the final activity of VWB’s first half-year operations, the event involved surgical procedures—including neutering, mammary tumor removal, and biopsies—for 59 rescued dogs. Each animal received customized care based on their health condition, and CardioBird was deployed to support the recovery process post-surgery.
CardioBird filled critical staffing gaps with AI-powered vitals monitoring, supporting the busy veterinary team by delivering real-time patient data and playing a pivotal assistant role throughout the recovery process.

Supporting Recovery and Emergency Response
One dog that underwent mammary tumor surgery showed delayed anesthesia recovery and severe hypothermia. With real-time continuous patient monitoring powered by CardioBird, the medical team was able to manage the patient’s conditions continuously, ensuring a safe recovery.
CardioBird fought side by side with the medical team to save another patient who has cyanosis and severe bleeding during surgery. Interactive and effective intervention has been given to the patient, reacted promptly to the information given by CardioBird. Thanks to the collaborative effort, the patient eventually recovered and returned to a stable condition.
With such AI-powered continuous patient monitoring during these critical moments, veterinary professionals elevate to save more lives, faster and better.

At the Frontlines of Veterinary Volunteering—Saving Lives Through Innovation
At this VWB mission site, CardioBird proved itself as more than just a piece of technology—it acted as a reliable clinical partner. Even amid limited resources and high-pressure conditions, CardioBird enabled swift decision-making through real-time ECG analysis and vital tracking.
This mission clearly demonstrated how CardioBird can partner with veterinary professionals to save lives. We are proud to be part of such efforts, and CardioBird will continue collaborating closely with VWB, pushing the boundaries of veterinary care through technology and contributing to lifesaving missions worldwide.
