Q1 :  How would you introduce yourself in 3 words

Passion for animals, patience, and empathy.

Q2 : At what age, did you decide to become a vet?

My family has kept small animals like hamsters and ducklings since I was little. When I was 10, we got our first dog. At that time, infectious diseases were prevalent and treatment options were limited; unfortunately, my little companion didn’t make it. Watching him pass away, I remember thinking: “If only I had a way to keep them healthy so they could stay by my side.” That seed was planted then. When it came time to choose a major in high school, I saw “Veterinary Medicine” and chose it without a moment’s hesitation.

Q3 : What do you like the most about being a vet?

The best part is definitely being around animals every day. For me, nothing is more rewarding than interacting with these fluffy little souls.

Q4 : One sentence that describes your value as a vet.

“Medicine is a life science; my goal is to ensure our furry friends live well, with quality and dignity.”

Q5 : Can you share one memorable moment in your career as a vet?

It was during my second year as a licensed veterinarian. An elderly couple brought in their 12-year-old dog, who was diagnosed with a severe pyometra requiring immediate surgery. The owner grabbed my hand with tears in her eyes and said, “Doctor, please, you must save her. She is just like our own child.” She was even about to drop to her knees in desperation. I reacted quickly to catch her, but that near-kneel has stayed with me to this day. Being a pet owner myself, I could deeply feel their heartache and anxiety from a clinician’s perspective. It reinforced my core principle: “In every medical decision, the animal’s life and safety must always come first.”

Q6 : What is your expertise (pursuing focus)?

Soft tissue surgery and minimally invasive surgery.

Q7 : Please share a specific case or scenario where you used CardioBird and describe how it helped you.

In the field of surgery, pre-operative assessment and intra-operative monitoring are critical. What gives me great peace of mind with CardioBird is its ability to provide extremely professional cardiac interpretation reports. Though I am not a cardiologist, it gives me immense confidence when handling complex cases. Specifically during surgery, it monitors physiological indicators including a “Pain Index”. Being able to download and share a clear, intuitive report with the owners afterward allows them to see the level of care we put into safety monitoring. It truly makes the process worry-free and efficient.

Q8: Surely you have a dream. What do you hope to accomplish through your career or in life?

It’s actually quite simple: To make every moment of companionship last a little longer. I want to ensure that our furry friends can stay with their families for as long as possible, while maintaining a high quality of life.
