Dr. Wei-Chih Hsu
We are delighted to introduce this month’s featured veterinarian — Dr. Wei-Chih Hsu. Currently serving as a veterinarian at Joy & Smile Animal Hospital in Taipei, Dr. Hsu graduated from the Department of Veterinary Medicine at National Chung Hsing University. With eight years of clinical experience, he specializes in integrative and behavioral care for dogs and cats, and is dedicated to being a trusted bridge between pets and their families.

Q1 : How would you introduce yourself in 3 words
Patient, meticulous, empathetic.
In veterinary medicine, ensuring a healthy life for patients requires patient observation, careful examination, and empathetic communication with their families — none of these can be left out!
Q2 : At what age, did you decide to become a vet?
At my age of 22.
Q3 : What do you like the most for being a vet?
While helping animal patients, they in turn comfort and heal our human hearts.
Q4 : One sentence that describes your value as a vet.
Striving to be a communication bridge between pets and their families, dedicated to enhancing harmony in their shared lives.
Q5 : Can you share one memorable moment in your career as a vet?
Many animal patients come to the hospital feeling unwell, and as veterinarians we are often seen as the “unwelcome” ones — sometimes even facing aggression. But when those same patients recover and let down their guard, willingly approaching us with trust, it is truly unforgettable.
Q6 : What is your expertise (pursuing focus)?
Health checkups, management of chronic diseases, and integrative care and life planning for geriatric patients.
Q7 : What do you like the most about CardioBird?
It is easy to operate, convenient, quick to interpret, and easy to understand.
Q8: Surely you have a dream. What do you hope to accomplish through your career or in life?
In addition to providing highly professional medical care for dogs and cats, I hope to offer services that connect more deeply with the emotional needs of both pets and their families.
