Dr. Alex Li, Our Featured Veterinarian

We are excited to introduce Dr. Alex Li, as our featured veterinarian for this issue. Dr. Li is the Senior Veterinary Surgeon and Director at The Vet Centre, Hong Kong. Dr. Li obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from National Taiwan University in 1990 and his MBA from Newport, USA in 1994 as well as the qualification as a certified instructor for pet first aid courses of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) Emergency Care and Safety Institute.

Q1 :  How would you introduce yourself in 3 words?

A : Innovative, courage to overcome boundaries, life-first

Q2 : At what age, did you decide to become a vet?

A : During high school, when I knew I wanted to learn and apply science and technical expertise to bring a positive, interactive impact to lives. Veterinary medicine has become the natural first choice for me.

Q3 : What do you like the most for being a vet?

A : an opportunity to make this world a better place through working with owner to value every live being

 

 

Q4 : One sentence that describes your value as a vet.

A : Empathizing with Life

Q5 : Can you share one memorable moment in your career as a vet?

A : successfully relieve pain of both pet patients and owners and bring positive outcomes when euthanasia is recommended by most veterinary hospitals.

Q6 : What is your expertise (pursuing focus)?

A : Cancer and Feline infections peritonitis (FIP)
